Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999) is probably the most important Spanish composer of the 20th. Century and, without a doubt, the composer most often heard in concert halls of all times. His extensive production includes practically all types of classical music, ranging from the simple song to the symphonic poem, and covering concertos for orchestra and diverse solo instruments: piano, guitar (one, two and four), violin, cello, flute and harp. Sought after by the best orchestra conductors and famous soloists and publishers, Joaquín Rodrigo composed music that is modern, original, profoundly Spanish and respectful of the classical canons. His works bear an unmistakable personal voice and reached their culmination with his very famous Concierto de Aranjuez.
